Donald Henry McRorie

Wadesboro - Mr.. Donald Henry McRorie, 82, died Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Carolinas HealthCare System Anson in Wadesboro. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Monday, October 8, 2018 at First Baptist Church, Wadesboro with Rev. Tom Kakadelis officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:30pm until 3:00pm in the parlor at the church and other times at his home. Don was born July 28, 1936 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Floyd Alexander McRorie and the late Eleanor Ruth McLaurin McRorie. He was a graduate of Wadesboro High School and Wingate College. He owned and operated McRorie Accounting Service in Wadesboro and along with his wife, owned and operated Anson Court Reporting Services. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Wadesboro, a past member of the Wadesboro Jaycees and served as Vice President of the North Carolina Jaycees. He was a Mason and former Mayor of the Town of Wadesboro. Surviving are his children, Brian McRorie and wife, Mary of Stallings, Sharon Seawell and husband, Michael of New Bern, Donna McCormick, and husband, Mike and Mary Kendall and husband, Max both of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Bennett McRorie, Wesley Seawell, Sara Seawell, Michelle Brock and husband, Stan, Drew Kendall and fiance' Heather Williams and Jak Kendall; his great-grandchildren, Kylie Seawell, Emma Seawell, Mac Brock and Adam Brock; and his brothers and sisters, Larry McRorie of Mt. Holly, Ricky McRorie and wife Sherri of Norwood and Becky Edwards and husband, Chuck of Taylors, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Thompson McRorie and his sister, Annette McRorie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O.
