WADESBORO Mrs. Dora Hildreth Sellers, 89, died Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Carolinas Medical Center Union (Atrium Health) in Monroe.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, January 17, 2019 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Abee officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the funeral home.
Dora was born August 2, 1929 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Paul Patrick Hildreth and the late Linnie Mae Williams Hildreth. She worked for 39 years in textiles, retiring from Dawson Knitting Mills, formerly West Knitting. Following her retirement, she worked at Carolina Apparell Group. She was a faithful member of Wadesboro Church of God.
Surviving are her children, James (Margaret) Sellers, Jr., Donald (Betty Jean) Sellers, David (Debra) Sellers and Dora Kay (Alvin) Privette all of Wadesboro and Shaler (Mary) Sellers of Lilesville; her daughters-in-law, Jan Sellers of Waxhaw and Linda Sellers of Wadesboro; her brother and sisters, David Hildreth, Martha Gulledge and Rena Garrison all of Wadesboro; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edison Sellers, sons, Bill Sellers and Bobby Sellers and sisters and brothers, Eunice Honeycutt, Linnie Mae Hanna, John Hildreth, Paul Hildreth, Ben Hildreth and Spare Hildreth.
