Doris Brewer Mrs. Kaloczy

POLKTON - Mrs. Doris Brewer Kaloczy, 73, of Indian Trail and formerly of Polkton died Friday, March 20, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center Union in Monroe. Services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, March 24, 2015 by the graveside at Olive Branch Cemetery, 8951 HWY 218 E, Marshville with Dr. Leon Smith officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Doris was born November 14, 1941 in Union County, NC a daughter of the late Conrad Lloyd Brewer and JV Bowers Brewer. She graduated from Polkton High School in 1960 and enjoyed so much the gatherings of her high school friends throughout the year. She had worked for Southern Bell Telephone and later with Eastern Airlines as a flight attendant and travel agent. Surviving are her sister-in-law, Linda Davis Brewer of Polkton; her nieces, Tammy (Ellis) Brewer Parker of Polkotn and Debbie (Randall) Brewer Bailey of Chesterfield, SC; her nephew, Lewis Taylor of Peachland; her great- nieces and great-nephews, Joshua Parker, Hannah Parker, Aaron Parker, Makayla Bailey Gavin Bailey, Mallary Taylor and Katie Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Laci Kaloczy, brother, Ray Brewer and niece, Wanda Brewer Taylor. Doris loved her family and looked forward to their annual Labor Day weekend mountain trip, which she planned for them every year. She enjoyed traveling and has traveled extensively throughout the world. She loved the outdoors, animals and Keltic Thunder.
