LILESVILLE - Mrs. Dorothy Lou Bauer, 70, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe, NC. Funeral services will be 5:00pm Friday, March 24, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Walden officiating. Interment will follow in Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service Friday. Dorothy was born October 9, 1946 in Tampa, FL a daughter of the late Jasper Truman Rimes and the late Nancy Elizabeth Williams Rimes. Surviving are her sons, Alvin Bauer and Paul Bauer both of Alabama and Ralph Bauer and Arlon Bauer both of Lilesville; her twin sister, Nancy (Terry) Hunsucker of Lilesville; her half-sisters, Cheryl Blackwelder and Jan Owens both of Deland, FL and 4 grandchildren.
