Dorothy Lisenby Brock

Dorothy Lisenby Brock passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family Thursday, January 25, 2024.

 Funeral services will be held on January 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Leavitt Funeral Home., with Rev. Eddie Brock and Pastor Rob Washington officiating.  Interment will follow at Anson Memorial Park.

 Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Leavitt Funeral Home.

 Dorothy was born July 17, 1931, in Chesterfield, SC to the late Ed Andrew Lisenby and Eva Inez Teal Lisenby. She was a graduate of Ruby High School and worked over 20 years at West knitting Mills and later Unity Knitting Mills as an inspector.

 Dorothy was a member of Prince of Peace Church  and served as secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She loved mowing her yard and working in her flowers. She loved her roses, daylilies, moon flowers, and petunias. She enjoyed playing BINGO on the computer and watching her soaps: Young and Restless and Bold and Beautiful with her fur baby – Junior.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

 She is predeceased by her parents, husbands : Junius Griggs, EC Eddins, and Frank Brock; son-in-law, Johnny Adams; and brothers Otis and Leon Lisenby.

 Left to cherish her memories are her daughters:  Bonnie Polson of Cheraw, SC and Cheryl Brower (Mike) of Wadesboro; grandchildren: jean Elizabeth Flowers (William Hunt), Erica Rayfield (Derek), Sean Polson, great-grand-children: Carolyn Rayfield, Carlee Rayfield, Claudia Flowers, Avah Flowers, Tristin Hunt, and Zoei Hunt. Sister: Flora Bell Lavender (Bill) of Thomasville, sister- in-law, Ethel Lisenby, and a daughter of the heart: Mary Lee Eddins.
