Dorothy Maness Mrs. Hutton

POLKTON - Mrs. Dorothy Maness Hutton, 94, died Friday, June 10, 2016 at Pruitt Health Care in Monroe. Funeral services will be 12:00pm Tuesday, June 14 2016 at Polkton Baptist Church with Rev. John Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Williams Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Mrs. Hutton was born June 19, 1921 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Clay Wall Maness and the late Mae Caudle Maness. She was a graduate of Polkton High School and Meredith College. She taught school for many years at Peachland Polkton Elementary School and also taught private piano lessons. She was a life-long member of Polkton Baptist Church where she served as pianist for many years. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Ann Hutton of Mint Hill and Rick and Rosie Hutton of Polkton and Lincolnton; her grandchildren, Amy Kaminski of Midland, Kathryn Hutton of Mint Hill, Farrah Speight of Huntersville and Ritchie Hutton of Hamlet; her 5 great-grandchildren; her step-grandchildren, Clare Friday and Keylin Howlett both of Lincolnton, Beverly Richardson of N. Wilkesboro, and Marco Howlette of Charlotte and 3 step-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Polkton Baptist Church, P.O. Box 10, Polkton, NC 28135.
