MCBEE, SC Mr. Douglas "Doug" Daryl Newton, 50, of McBee, SC and formerly of Lilesville died Friday, April 13, 2018 at Carolina Pines Hospital in Hartsville, SC. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Wayne Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens in Cheraw, SC. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Monday, April 16, 2018 at the funeral home. Doug was born January 16, 1968 in Anson County, NC a son of Rev. Floyd Franklin Newton and the late Faye Freeman Newton. He was a graduate of Bowman High School and was formerly the Supervisor for Town of Wadesboro Water Department. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Newton. Surviving are his son, Brandon (Cyndi) Newton of Wadesboro; his father, Rev. Floyd Newton of Lilesville; his sisters and brothers, Judy Newton, Floyd (Norma) Newton, Jr. and Ron (Angela) Newton all of Lilesville, Janet Newton of Wadesboro; his nephews and nieces, Bobby Newton, Amanda Newton, Dustin Jackson, Matt Newton, Josh Casey, Brandon Newton, Dillon Crowley, Mark Newton, Jessica Crowley and Ricky Newton. Also surviving are his fianc, Rhoda Woods of McBee, SC and their children, Abby Gainey of McBee, SC, Logan Gainey and Austin Gainey both of Hartsville, SC and their grandchildren, Bentley Gainey and Aubrey Bannister.
