Earl Kenneth Ruppe

POLKTON - On Monday, July 18, 2022, Mr. Earl Kenneth "Ken" Ruppe, Jr., 62, passed away at his home.

The family will have a visitation from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro.

There will be a graveside service at a later date in Sunset Cemetery in Shelby, NC.

Ken was born June 20, 1960, in Cleveland County, NC, and was a son of Nancy Peace Brewer and the late Earl Kenneth Ruppe. He worked for a number of years as a Correctional Officer with Lanesboro Correctional Institue in Polkton.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Felicia Stegall Rupp; his children, Alex Ruppe of Ansonville, Ashley Ruppe Kearney of Lilesville, and Ronald Graham of Polkton; his grandchildren, Tristan Ruppe, Kaitlin Kearney, Wyatt Ruppe Jake Kearney, Jackson Ruppe, and Antney Ruppe; his loving mother, Nancy Brewer of Shelby; his sister and brother, Lisa Lowery (Danny) and Jeff Ruppe (Faith) both of Shelby; his bother-in-law, Van Batchelor of Nashville; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald and Sissy Stegall of Polkton; his beloved Peekapooh, Daisy Duke;  and his nieces and nephews and their families.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Adam Ruppe, his grandson, Chase Kearney; his step-mother, Mary Lou Ruppe, his step-father, Jack Brewer, and his sisters, Julie Ruppe Batchelor and infant Andrea Ruppe.
