McFarlan - Mrs. Earline Nelson Freeman, age 78, died Friday, May 10, 2013 in the Chesterfield Convalescent Center, Cheraw, SC.
Funeral services will be 4:00PM Sunday in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry King officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro.
Earline was born in Stokes County on February 24, 1935, a daughter of the late Gene Monroe Nelson and Ruby East Nelson. She had worked at Ballet Hoisery, Little Cotton Mfg. and Wadesboro IGA.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Amanda Williams Sztyber (Sebastian) of Fort Mill, SC, Gene Freeman (Amy) and Tyra F. White both of Cheraw; one great grandchild, Joseph White; a brother, Curtis Nelson (Becky) of McFarlan; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Nelson of Cheraw.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Earline was preceded in death by a son, E.C. 'Pee Wee' Freeman Jr., a daughter, Ruby Dale Williams, a brother, Melvin Nelson, and a sister Nellie Tice.
