Eddie Bickett Bill Mr. Pegram

LILESVILLE - Mr. Eddie Bickett 'Bill' Pegram, 90, died Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe, NC. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Byrd and Rev. Donald Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Bill was born April 15, 1925 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Lee and Lillie Russell Pegram. He was retired from New Orleans Public Service as a dispatcher for 40 years in the power department. He was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, having served during World War II. Surviving are his sister, Sadie Pegram Walker of High Point; his step-children, Joe Stroud, Jr. and Wanda Willert both of Sierra Vista, AZ and his nieces and nephews and their families from both the Pegram and Hooks families. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Hooks Stroud Pegram and sister and brother, Mary Lillie Murdock and Walter M. 'Tot' Pegram. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110or to Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, 3373 Country Club Rd., Wadesboro, NC 28170.
