Mitchell Edmund Kiker

               TAYLORS, SC – On Friday, April 15, 2022, Mr. Mitchell Edmund Kiker, 63, passed away.

            Mitch was born September 17, 1958, in Anson County, NC and was the only son of Graham Edmund Kiker and Doris Hutchinson Kiker. He was a graduate of Eastside High School in Taylors, SC and attended North Greenville University in Tigersville, SC.

            He was a Minor League Baseball Umpire, having traveled the United States to umpire games. Baseball and being an umpire were his passion.

            He accepted Christ as his savior as a young boy and was a member of Lee Road Baptist Church in Taylors, SC.

            A loving and devoted son, he was an exemplary caregiver for his parents and they in turn were devoted to him, prior to their passings.

            He leaves to cherish his memory, his aunts and uncles from both the Hutchinson and Kiker families, as well as his cousins and their families.

            The family plans a private service, and he will be laid to rest with his parents at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery in Peachland.

            In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopewell United Methodist Church, c/o Susie McSwain, 424 Pork Rd., Peachland, NC 28133 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
