Edna Luther

WADESBORO - On Monday, August 28, 2023, Miss Edna Luther, 74, passed away peacefully at Atrium Health Union in Monroe

There will be a memorial service at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 24, 2023, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. The family will greet friends in the funeral home following the service.

Edna was born August 23, 1949 in Anson County and was a daughter of the late William Alexander Luther and Leatha Lucille Lang Luther. She was an retired teacher with the Anson County Schools.

She is survived by two nieces, Mandy Luther and Whitney Luther both of Wadesboro; her sister-in-law, Janet Luther of Chesterfield, SC; and special friend, Yvonne Cook of Lumberton, NC.

An addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Ransom "Billy" Luther.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude,  501 St. Jude Place,  Memphis, TN 38105 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
