LILESVILLE - Mrs. Elizabeth Melton Liles Hogan, 92, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Meadowview Terrace Assisted Living in Wadesboro. Services will be 11:00AM Monday, January 21, 2013 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Forestville United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends Sunday afternoon, January 20, 2013 from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at the funeral home and other times at her daughter's home in Lilesville. She was born May 8, 1920 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late George B. and Ollie Teal Melton. She was retired from Wade Manufacturing and was a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church in Rockingham. She is survived by her children, James M. Liles of Rockingham, Jerry C. Liles of Southport and Mary Virginia Greene of Lilesville; her brother, Major Melton of Laurinburg; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Edwin Liles and Elsie P. Hogan, by her daughter, Eva Lovell and by her sisters, Emma Hartsell, Ollie Clarke, Annie Ingold and Lula Burr and by her brothers, Roland Melton, John Melton, William Melton, Herman Melton, Ed Melton and Eli Melton.
