Elizabeth "Lib" Martin Horne

                PEACHLAND – On Monday, April 25, 2022, Mrs. Elizabeth “Lib” Martin Horne, 78, passed away peacefully at her home.

            Services will be 11:00 am Friday, April 29, 2022 by the graveside in Peachland Cemetery with Rev. Luke Christy officiating.

            The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

            Lib was born December 14, 1943 in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of the late Jasper Herman Martin and the late Annie Rae Russell Martin. She was a member of Peachland United Methodist Church and had worked at Happy Days Day Care in Peachland.

            Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeff Horne (Janice) of Peachland, Tammy Horne (Charles) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Chad Horne of Peachland; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and her sisters, Lillian Carpenter of Polkton and Nancy Lovett of Wadesboro.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Horne; her granddaughter, Mandy Hildreth and her brothers and sister, Jasper “Jap” Martin, Guy Martin, Jim Martin, Nelson Martin, Aileen Gray, Tom Martin, Henley Martin and Hubert Martin.

            In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peachland United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 330, Peachland, NC 28133.
