Ellen Leckell Owca

Wadesboro - On Sunday, February 6, 2022, Mrs. Ellen Leckell Owca, 58, passed away peacefully at Atrium CMC Main in Charlotte.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday, February 11, 2022, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Storz officiating. Interment will follow in Lilesville Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the funeral home.

Ellen was born April 3, 1963, in Sun Dance, WY, and was a daughter of the late Melvin Eugene Leckell and the lat Katherine Ingram Leckell. She was a 1981 graduate of Bowman High School and received an associate's degree from Richmond Community College.

She was employed with Medical Specialties in Wadesboro and a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Heather Owca of Lilesville and Dustin Owca (fiance' Allison) of Orlando, FL; her grandchildren, Bradlee Chavis and Gage Owca; her brother and sisters, Mark Leckell and Debra Horne both of Lilesville and Wanda Hildreth of Greenville and her nieces and nephews and their families.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Leckell.
