WADESBORO - On April 4, 2018, at the age of 93, Mrs. Eloise Horne Coley peacefully entered heaven to be at rest with her Heavenly Father and to be reunited her many loved ones who went on before her.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Sunday at the Wadesboro Church of God with Rev. Sam Abee officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church.
Eloise was born in Wadesboro on May 22, 1924, a daughter of the late John Horne and Ora Caulder Horne. She married her beloved husband Mack Coley in 1942 and they had a family of 4 children together. The couple celebrated 72 years of marriage before the passing of her husband in 2015. She worked for and retired from West Knitting Mfg. with 30 years of service as an inspector.
Eloise took great joy in taking care of her husband and her 4 children whom she loved dearly. She was also an avid gardener and loved to grow her beautiful flowers as well as assist her husband with their vegetable garden. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Eloise was a long time member of the Wadesboro Church of God.
Survivors include her two daughters, Maxine Wally and Vivian Horne, a son, Mike Coley; a daughter-in law, Mary Coley; a grandson Lee Wally; 6 great grandchildren and 3 great- great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Charles Horne and her sister Willie Nance.
Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Coley , a son Johnny Coley; a granddaughter , Kimberly Hampton; and two sons-in law; Gary Horne and Philip Wally.
Eloises laughter and the love she gave her family and friends will greatly be missed.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Wadesboro Church of God , 809 N. Greene St., Wadesboro NC 28170.
