POLKTON - Mrs. Elsie Parker Davis, 100, died Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Autumn Care of Marshville. Services will be 3:00pm Wednesday, August 26, 2015 by the graveside at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Rex Burleson and Rev. Mark Swaringen officiating. The family welcomes friends to visit the home at any time. Elsie was born May 20, 1915 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Walter Parson Parker and Cynthia Lessie Broadaway Parker. She was retired from Polkton Shirt Factory, having worked for 40 years and was a long-time member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are her grandsons, Jim Davis and Tim Davis both of Polkton and Rick Davis of Wadesboro; her great-grandchildren, Dustin Davis and Shannon Davis and her great-great-grandson, Cameron Aiden Weil. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Davis, son, Ted Davis and brother and sister, Vance Parker and Nell Baucom.
