PEACHLAND - Mr. Ernest Reggie Honeycutt, 71, died Monday, December 2, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Harmony Community Church with Rev. Rocky Carpenter, Rev. Dac Croasman and Rev. Bobby Helms officiating. Interment will follow in Horne Family Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro. Reggie was born September 12, 1942 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Howard Eugene Honeycutt and the late Eula Mae Warren Honeycutt. He was a retired mechanic and had owned and operated Honeycutt's Auto and Engine Repair and attended Harmony Community Church. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Patsy Horne Honeycutt of the home; his children, Lisa (Ritchie) Treadaway of Peachland and Lynnet Staton and Darren (Amy) Honeycutt both of Marshville; his grandchildren, Nick Treadaway, Nicole Treadaway, Tony Sampson, Michael Staton and Allison Honeycutt; his great-grandchildren, D'Metri and Dakota Sturdivant and Jasmine Treadaway. Also surviving are his brother and sisters, Gene Honeycutt of Biscoe, Mary Cochran of Marysville, WA, Julia Adams of Chesterfield, SC, Thelma Parrotto of Naples, FL and Eula Dew of Conway, SC; and his brothers-in-law, Don Horne of Peachland and Nelson Horne of Monroe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Wilma Howell. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Cancer Research, 1901 Brunswick Ave, Charlotte, NC 28207.
