Angels were dispatched from heaven on Monday, January 22, 2024, to usher Earnestine Faye Willoughby home from the Reid Heart Center in Pinehurst, NC. She was 57 years of age.
She was born October 18, 1966, in Morven, NC and was a daughter of the late Vernell and Minister Louise Gaddy Willoughby.
Earnestine confessed Jesus Christ as her Savior and joined Gatewood Station AME Zion Church. She attended Anson County Schools and worked as a caregiver with home health agencies.
Kind, loving and caring are the attributes that describe her. At her home, everyone was welcomed to eat and sleep with open arms. She shared the love of God with whomever she met, and she loved her pets.
Earnestine was a fighter! She’d push through any and every obstacle life presented her. She was small in stature but a giant in every aspect of her life. She was an example of strength and perseverance.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Randi Willoughby, Sherika McCray and husband, Torrence and Brenda J. Willoughby; her grandchildren, Zamyiah Wallace, Aden Jacobs, Gabrielle McDonald, Joshua Thomas, and Zirion Willoughby; her sisters and brothers, Evangelist Brenda Pratt, Shirley Liles and husband, Melton, Vernel Willoughby and wife, Lou, Robert Willoughby and wife, Linda, Betty Williams and husband, Lindsay, John Willoughby, Charles Willoughby, Wilbert Willoughby and wife, Gwendolyn and Rev. Christine Hall and husband, Rev. Anthony Hall; her aunts and uncle, Vera Boggan, Johnsie Cole and James Gaddy; a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly and helped raise and their families; her special and devoted friend, Lennis Reddick and other relatives and friends.
Earnestine’s family is most grateful to the staff at the Hamlet Dialysis Center, Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, FirstHealth Richmond in Rockingham and Reid Heart Center at FirstHealth Moore Regional in Pinehurst for the care they provided for her.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
