WADESBORO – On Monday, March 14, 2022, Mr. Ervin Dwyane Nance, 61, passed away peacefully at Anson Health and Rehab in Wadesboro.
Services will be 3:00pm Sunday, March 20, 2022, by the graveside at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Ledford officiating.
The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Ervin was born December 6, 1960, in Stanly County, NC and was the son of the late Alvin Lamar Nance and the late Mildred Broadaway Nance. He was a 1979 graduate of Bowman High School and retired as a mail carrier with Wadesboro Post Office.
He was a life-long member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir and often played his guitar and sang solos for special services.
Ervin dearly loved being on his family farm and gardening and enjoyed time spent on his John Deere tractor.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sister and brother-in-law, Betty Jo and Cam Comer of Peachland; his nieces, Tracie Carpenter and husband, Ricky of Peachland and Cindy Comer of Waxhaw; his great-nieces and great-nephew, Alyssa Boone, Sophie Comer and Jasper Comer; his dear friend and caregiver, for whom his family is most grateful, Karen Martin and husband, Darrell of Wadesboro and his beloved companion, Jake, his German Shepherd.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Matthew E. Comer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopewell United Methodist Church, c/o Susie McSwain, 424 Pork Rd., Peachland, NC 28133.
