POLKTON - Mrs. Evelyn Gaddy Baucom, 71, died Thursday, April 5, 2012 at her home. Services will be 11:00am Saturday, April 7, 2012 by the graveside in Williams Cemetery in Polkton with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Evelyn was born July 15, 1940 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Erie Davis Gaddy and Lillie Taylor Gaddy. She was retired from Peachland Polkton Elementary School. Her husband, Michael Wayne Baucom preceded her in death in September 2003. Surviving are her children, Ramona McCollum of Wadesboro, Brenda Baucom of Indian Trail and Daniel Baucom of Polkton; her granddaughter, Aleah Baucom and her brother, Tom Taylor of Wadesboro.
