WADESBORO - Mrs. Evelyn Dennis Beachum, 88, died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Anson Health and Rehab in Wadesboro. Memorial services will be 2:00pm Saturday, March 28, 2015 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. A private interment will be at a later date in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Evelyn was born February 1, 1927 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Beecher Huxley and Mary Elgie Freeman Dennis. Surviving are her children, Roger (Susan) Beachum of Laguna Woods, CA, Edwin (Susan) Beachum and Jean (Ronnie) Malonek both of Chesapeake, VA and Danny (Denise) Beachum of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Barndon Beachum, Melissa Springer, Ryan Beachum, Amy Hutter, Craig Beachum, Justin Beachum, Heather Thompson and Travis Beachum; 11 great-grandchildren; and her sister and brothers, Pauline Capela of Yucca Valley, CA, Aaron Dennis of Hendersonville and Bobby Neil Dennis of Wadesboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Dennis. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
