WADESBORO - Mrs. Evelyn Kirk Napier Griffin, 96, died Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Ambassador Health and Rehab in Wadesboro. Services will be 3:00pm Friday, August 24, 2012 by the graveside in Williams Cemetery in Polkton. Evelyn was born April 8, 1916 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Walter Bascom Napier and the late Annie Flossie Kirk Napier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Griffin, her brothers and sister, Ed and Harry Napier and Maxine Wood. Surviving are her first cousin and guardian, Lorena Kirk of Polkton; her children, John Roswell Griffin of Taylors, SC, Mary Jo Griffin and Timothy Griffin both of Gastonia and their families. Her family is most grateful for the high level of care and loving concern for Evelyn at Ambassador Health and Rehab. She became a resident there 30 years ago and the family could not have asked for better care given her. Evelyn's life was made richer for having been loved and cared for by her friends and extended family there. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
