MORVEN - Mrs. Faire Belle Tucker Gaddy, 85, died Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Clare Bridge Assisted Living in Monroe.
Funeral services will be 12:30pm Saturday, January 31, 2015 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro with Rev. Bill Whitlow officiating. Interment will follow in Griffin Cemetery in Polkton.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
Faire Belle was born February 12, 1929 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late William Brady Tucker and the late Odie Wright Tucker. She was a graduate of Polkton High School and had worked as a waitress for several years and was a homemaker. After moving to Morven, she worked at Morven Elementary School as a teacher's assistant.
She was a member of Morven Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and volunteered at Morven Senior Center.
Surviving are her sons, Harry E. 'Gene' Gaddy, Jr. and William M. 'Bill' Gaddy and wife, Elaine both of Los Angeles, CA; her grandchildren, Rachel and Jestin Gaddy both of Los Angeles, CA; her brothers and sister, Killian Tucker and Ed Tucker both of Polkton and Louise Anderson of Boone; her sisters-in-law, Cornelia Tucker of Wadesboro and Margaret Helen Hamden of Cheraw, SC and her nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Gaddy, December 29, 2014 and her brothers and sister, Jim Tucker, Charles Tucker and Christine Lane.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Brookdale Clarebridge Assisted Living in Monroe for their excellent and loving care for her while she was a resident there. Also, a special thanks to the Tucker family for their support of both Faire Belle and Harry over the past several years.
