Fay Virginia Miss Cox

WADESBORO - Miss Fay Virginia Cox, 92, died Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Meadowview Terrace Assisted Living. Services will be 11:00am Monday, August 15, 2016 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Burr and Dr. Bill Vaughn officiating. Interment will be in Forestville United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lilesville. The family will greet friends following the service. Fay was born November 4, 1923 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Noah Eli Cox and the late Lillie Taylor Cox. She had worked for a period of time in textiles but most of her career life was spent as an in home care-giver. Surviving are her sisters, Ruby C. Vaughn of Wadesboro and Joyce C. Brown of Rockingham; her nieces and nephews, Emma Poplin, Dorothy Tyson, Diane Childs, Shirley Ingram, David Vaughn, Jr., Jeffrey Brown and Phillip Brown and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Tillery Cox, Houston Cox, Bill Cox and Betty Harris. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forestville Cemetery Fund, % Debra Moss, 133 Forest Rd., Lilesville, NC 28091. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
