Faye Maree Gregory

WADESBORO Mrs. Faye Maree Gregory, 79, died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center Union in Monroe. There will be a memorial service at 3:00pm Sunday, September 24, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Hill officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday and other times at the home. Faye was born February 8, 1938 in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of the late James Edward Maree and the late Bessie Jane Butler Maree. She was retired from Wal Mart in Wadesboro and was a member of Cathedral Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Earl Gregory; her son, Dean Gregory of Wadesboro and her daughter, Lynn Gregory Brown (Clay Nance) of Ellerbe; her grandsons, Austin and Hunter; her sister and brothers, Pauline (Brad) Pope and Claude (Vivian) Maree both of Wadesboro and Thomas Maree and Allen (Chris) Maree both of Rockingham and her brother-in-law, Richard Williams of Wadesboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brother, Magdeline Williams, Pansy Baker and James (Mildred) Maree and sister-in-law, Louvenia Maree. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Levine Cancer Institute Special Needs Fund, Carolinas HealthCare Foundation, 208 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203.
