Forest (Elijah Jr.) Caple, son of the late Elijah and Stella Bennett Caple, departed his earthly body at Wadesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center on December 30, 2021.
He was born on February 24, 1937, and attended public school in Anson County, NC. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, where he held several positions of leadership.
During his more active years, Forest worked as a farmer, worked in textiles, and operated pulpwood and a tire repair business.
Forest loved fishing, hunting, gardening, western movies, and talking politics and about world events.
In addition to both parents, Forest is preceded in death by a son, Forest Caple Jr., and a brother, RH Caple.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Annie L. Cole Caple of the home; eldest daughter, Gloria Caple Ingram of Troy NC; Robert Caple of Greensboro NC, and youngest daughter, Ann Caple Whitley of Belgium. His surviving siblings are Sylvester Caple of High Point NC; Marie Caple Gaddy of Wadesboro NC, and Frances Caple Pruitt of Greensboro NC. There are 8 surviving grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
Due to the recent resurgence of Covid-19 cases, a memorial service will be delayed until a later date.
