Lilesville - Mrs. Frances Taylor Bowman, 85, died Friday, July 8, 2016, at her home in Lilesville.
Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Lilesville United Methodist Church with Rev. Kay Fry officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00pm in the church.
Frances was born November 16, 1930 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Samuel Jones Taylor and Virginia Mills Helms Taylor. She was a graduate of Burnsville High School and worked many years in the garment mfg. business before her retirement. Following her retirement she worked a couple of years with Dollar General and was a life long member of Lilesville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her granddaughters, Jamie (Matt) Powell of Wadesboro and Jodi Lynn Bowman of Polkton; her great-grandchildren, Asher Powell and Khloie Jones; her siblings, Jerry (Susie) Taylor of Peachland, James (Helen) Taylor of Polkton, Flossie Vaughn of Dunn,NC and George Taylor of Peachland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles King Bowman, her son, Charles King Bowman, II, and her sister, Rachel Broome.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the in-home caregivers, Katie Winfree, Amber Winfree, Lisa Thomas, Michelle Simmons, Melissa Crotts, Regina Coward and to Hospice of Richmond County.
