MCFARLAN – On Sunday, March 21, 2021, Mrs. Frances “Sammie” Boswell Teal, 92, went to be with her Lord while being cared for at Hospice Haven in Rockingham.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday, March 26, 2021 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westfield Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Cheraw, SC.
The family will greet family and friends one hour prior to the service.
Sammie was born June 2, 1928 in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of the late James Sanford Boswell and the late Carrie Talent Boswell.
She never met a stranger and loved everyone she met. She was well-known for working at Walmart in Wadesboro as a greeter. She took her job seriously and greeted every customer lovingly with a smile, a kind word, and perhaps a hug. She was a true southern lady.
Sammie attended Cheraw Family Worship Center with her Daughter and Son-in-Law.
Those left to cherish her memories are her grandchildren, Jennifer Hill (Kevin) and Autumn DuBois (Scott) both of Raleigh and Shawn Livingston of McFarlan; her daughter-in-law, Jenny Saldi of Raleigh; her son-in-law, Edd Livingston of McFarlan; her great-grandchildren, Brittany Lancaster (Michael), Bethany Livingston, Addison Hill, Camden DuBois, Cash Livingston; her great-great-grandson, Lincoln Asher Lancaster.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Teal and her children, Bruce Sanford (Sandy) Teal and Carolyn Teal Livingston.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Anson Health and Rehab, Anson Community, and Richmond County Hospice for the care they provided for their beloved mother and grandmother.
