PEACHLAND - Mrs. Frances Cox Taylor, 76, died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Funeral services will be private. Frances was born November 3, 1938 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late John Thomas and Ida Elizabeth Braswell Cox. She had worked for a number of years as finance manager with Heilig Myers Furniture. Surviving are her husband, Herbert Taylor; her children, Patricia (Terry) Conklin, Rodney (Bink) Taylor and Rebecca Taylor all of Peachland; her grandchildren, David (Claire) Conklin of Polkton, Neal (Jessica) Conklin of Wadesboro, Kevin (Meleah) Conklin, Jeremy (Whitney) Taylor and Anthony (Sarah) Taylor all of Peachland, Jason Taylor of Norwood and Brian (McKInley) Taylor of Oakboro; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and her brothers and sisters, Edward Cox of Charlotte, Carson (Alice) Cox, Betty (Jerry) Pope and Sarah Long all of Polkton, Lewis (Margie) Cox of Indian Trail and Ila Mae Barwig of Monroe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Arnold Taylor, and sister and brothers, Alma, Roy and Charles Cox. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
