LINCOLN, NE - On Friday, February 21, 2025, Mr. Franklin Gene Jones, 37, beloved son, father, brother, grandson, nephew and friend, passed away in Dallas, TX while there for work.
Funeral services will be 3:30PM Friday, February 28, 2025 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Wightman Methodist Church Cemetery in Polkton.
The family will greet friends from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the funeral home and other times at the home of his parents in Morven.
Frankie was born February 13, 1988 in Anson County, NC and is a son of Norma Jean Moore Kelly and Terrell Amley Jones, III.
He had a passion for politics and had assisted with several campaigns across the country. He was recently promoted from Director of Operations to President of FoxBryant Constituent Relations a company that manages political campaigns. With his current job, Frankie was the happiest he had been in a long time and certainly found his purpose in life.
Those who are left to cherish his memory are his parents, Norma Jean and Steven Kelly of Morven and Terrell Jones of Weaverville; his sons, Wyatt and Jackson Tolliver and their mother, Ashlie of Hurst, TX; his sister and brothers, Milea Gulledge of Wadesboro, Timothy Kelly and wife, Kirsten of Warner Robbins, GA and Christopher Kelly of Greenville, NC; his brother-in-law, Scott Gulledge of Wadesboro; his nieces, Emma and Aubrey Gulledge; and his grandparents, Doris Jones of Polkton and Wayne and Linda Kelly of Morven.
He also leaves his extended family, Tony and Christie Thuleen and family, Frank Thuleen, Kay Thomas (Neal), Melanie Huneycutt all of Polkton, Natalie (Robert) Williams and family and Connie Tucker both of Morven, Wayne Jacobs (Sharon) of Mt. Gilead and Mary Ann Moore and family of Monroe and his friends and work family.
He was preceded in death by family members, Taron Jones, Rebecca and Gene Moore, Lucy Thuleen, Josephine Johnson and Casey Tucker.
Frankie will be remembered for his love for his family and friends. He was always eager to learn. He enjoyed traveling and his career afforded him many opportunities to do so. While working across the country, he made many lasting friendships.
