George Washington Mr. Bacon

Goshen, NH - Mr. George Washington Bacon, 93, died Thursday, May 26, 2016 at his home. He was born May 10, 1923 in Wake County, NC a son of the late George Washington Bacon and the late Martha Wall Bacon. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, having served during World War II. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Forestville United Methodist Church with Rev. Sarah Kalish officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. The family will greet friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. He was the husband for 70 years of Geraldine (Towne) Bacon and the father of Heidi Wilcox, with whom he lived, and Gail Stewart and her husband Al Bettencourt of Pascoag, RI and the father of the late George W. Bacon, III. He was the grandfather of Jesse Wilcox of Keene, NH and brother of John Edward Bacon and wife, Rowene of Lilesville, NC and is survived by several nieces, nephews and he was the brother of the late Martha Wyatt.
