George William Mr. Helms, Jr

MONROE - Mr. George William Helms, Jr., 56, died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at his home. The family will greet friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Locust with a graveside service with military honors following in the church cemetery. He was born June 25, 1957 in Anson County, NC a son of Helen Huneycutt Helms and the late George William Helms. He had worked in construction and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Surviving are his mother, Helen Helms of Norwood, his son, Josh; his brother; Bryan Helms of Monroe; his sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Chip Dula of Matthews and his niece and nephew, Jessica and Ryan Dula of Matthews. He will be remembered as a devoted son, brother and friend and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro.
