George Fredrick Mr. Weidner

WADESBORO-Mr. George Fredrick Weidner, 76, died Saturday, April 20, 2013 at his home. The family will greet friends Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Leavitt Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Steven Shytle officiating. George was born October 25, 1936 in Washington County, MD a son of the late Charles Edward Weidner and Bertha Mae Davis Weidner. He was retired from the Maryland Department of Transportation. He enjoyed golfing, cooking and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Edna McLester Weidner of the home; his daughters, Lisa (Jamie) Houser of Big Pool, MD, Dina (Mike) Anderson of Beverly Hills, FL and Erona Cissel of KY; his step-daughters, Angie (Steve) Levy of Wake Forest, NC, Paula (Greg) Tyson of Polkton, NC, and Holly (John) Willis of Wake Forest, NC; 12 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Clara Pittman and Marian Ryan both of Martinsville, WVA.
