LILESVILLE - Mrs. Geraldine J. Carpenter, 66, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center North East in Concord. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Saturday, March 15, 2014 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Friday, March 14, 2014 at the funeral home and other times at the home. Geraldine was born August 29, 1947 in Richmond County, NC a daughter of the late Aaron and Maude Currie Jernigan. She was retired from Perfect Fit in Monroe. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Little Tommy and Pam Carpenter of Lilesville; her grandchildren, Bradley and Justin Gleitch both of Lilesville, Brittany and Amanda Carpenter both of Ansonville, Shannon Tice of Hartsville, SC and Candice Tice of Georgetown, SC and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Carpenter and her daughter, Lisa Carpenter. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
