Glenn Arnold Carpenter

            MARSHVILLE – On Wednesday, April 13, 2022, Mr. Glenn Arnold Carpenter, 58, of Leland and formerly of Marshville, passed away at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

            Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, April 19, 2022, by the graveside in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Marshville.

            The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside.

            Glenn was born June 16, 1963, in Mecklenburg County, NC, and was a son of the late Bobby Franklin Carpenter and the late Lisbeth Carpenter Braswell. He was a 1981 graduate of Forest Hills High School and received an Associate Degree from South Piedmont Community College. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

            He was employed with Brunswick County Water Treatment Department in Wilmington for nearly 25 years.

            Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Helen Hanna, and husband, Jimmy of Wadesboro, and Sonja Norwood Wilson and husband, Daniel of Monroe; his nephews and nieces, David Hanna and wife, Allison of Wadesboro, Lisbeth Early and husband, Keith of Charlotte, Charlie Norwood of Waxhaw and Allison Pueschel and husband, Karl of Indian Trail; his great-nieces and great-nephew, Brooklyn, Jett, Noah, Raleigh Grace, Savannah Jane, George,  and Henry; his uncle and aunts, Neal Carpenter of Marshville, Edna Staton, and husband, Walter of Weddington and Doris Stutts and husband, Ken of Florida.

            He was a loving and devoted son and brother. He dearly loved his chihuahua Paris, who preceded him in death,
