WADESBORO - Mrs. Gloria Hart Cameron, 87, died Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Harris Hospice Unit of Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. There will be a memorial service at 12:00pm Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church, Wadesboro with Rev. Dr. John Earl officiating. A service of committal will be at 10:00am Tuesday at Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 11:00am until 12:00pm in the fellowship hall of the church. Gloria was born July 10, 1925 in St. Francisville, IL a daughter of the late Barnett Ervin and Carrie Etta Mace Hart. She had worked for a brief time with the American Red Cross and later retired as director of the Anson County Board of Elections. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Wadesboro and was dedicated to the service and ministries of the church. Gloria had a giving spirit, was a devoted friend and her greatest accomplishment by far was raising her five children, following the death of her husband, Jim in 1971, the love of her life. Surviving are her children, Jim (Kathleen) Cameron of Pittsboro, NC, Bill (Susan) Cameron of Swannanoa, NC, Kay (Steve) Cameron-Conner of Charlotte, NC, Martin (Patcharin) Cameron of Aurora, CO, and Clayton (Maureen) Cameron of Leesburg, VA; her grandchildren Will Cameron, Carrie Cameron-Robinson, Ashley Cameron, Andrew Cameron, Chris Conner, Tesha Davis, Sueparat Cameron, Jarleeya Cameron and Salawuth Ratphonthee; her great-grandchildren, Amber Cousar, Haley Conner, Conner Davis, Win Ratphonthee and Wave Ratphonthee; her brother, Bill (Pat) Hart of Presque Isle, MI and her nieces and nephews and their families. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, P.O. box 351, Wadesboro, NC 28170 or to Harris Hospice at Presbyterian Hospital, P.O. Box 33549, Charlotte, NC 28233.
