LILESVILLE - Mrs. Grace Griffin Parrish, 68, died Monday, August 8, 2016 at Richmond County Hospice Haven in Rockingham. There will be a memorial service at 11:00am Friday, August 12, 2016 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. The family will greet friends following the service. Grace was born January 11, 1948 in Richmond County, NC a daughter of the late John Terow Griffin, Jr. and the late Jennie Grace Price Griffin. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and had worked in nursing homes in and around Anson County. Surviving are her daughters, Stephanie Parrish of Fountain Inn, SC and Melissa (Mark) Bachman of Rockingham; her grandchildren, Maria (Matt Warwick) Bachman, who was a loving caregiver for her grandmother and Ryan Bachman both of Rockingham; her great-grandchildren, Aliyah and Jordan; her sister, Dimple Treadaway of Ansonville and her grand dog, Marley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John T. Griffin,III. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice Haven, 1119 N US 1 HWY, Rockingham, NC 28379. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
