Gregory Marone Smith

WADESBORO Mr. Gregory Marone "Greg" Smith, 55, of Sanford and formerly of Wadesboro, died Friday, November 24, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Greg was born March 19, 1962 in Tondawanda, NY a son of the late Walter Thomas Smith and the late Pauline Benesch Smith. He was a carpenter rand worked for a number of years with Gary McCormick. Surviving are his sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jana Smith of Wadesboro and his grandson Maddux Smith. His son David Smith of Sanford, as well as, his brothers Daniel Wilson of Wadesboro and Mark Smith of Sanford and his sister, Sue Ann Wilson of Norwood.
