WADESBORO – On Friday, March 18, 2022, Mr. Harold Wayne Skipper, 69, passed away at home.
Harold was born August 5, 1952, in Bennettsville, SC, and was a son of the late Allen Richardson Skipper and the late Margaret Lucille Quick Skipper. He was a 1972 graduate of Bowman High School and served in the United States Army.
Over the course of his adult life, Harold worked several jobs including Hardee’s, Food Lion, Property Management at Anson Station Shopping Center, and Cobb Vantress as a hatchery technician.
He is survived by his brother and sister, Allen R. Skipper, Jr. and wife, Judy of Lilesville and Sharon Kay Strickland of Nichols, SC; his sister-in-law, Linda Skipper of Lilesville; his nieces and nephews, Stephanie Putnam of Leland, Jennifer Carpenter (Dean) of Rockingham, Cheryl Jones (Chris) of Carthage, Lisa Pitta (Wally) of Colorado Springs, CO, August Christopher (Bryant) of Lincolnton, Kenneth Ray Skipper, Jr. (Jean) of Vass and Matthew Strickland of Nichols, SC; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Allison and Avery Carpenter, Kailey, Emma, and Anna Putnam, Brittany Thill (Eric), Brandon Christman (Shonna), Alan Skipper, Cassie, and Braylin Christopher; and his great-great-nephews, Sullivan Thill.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Ray Skipper.
There will be a service to celebrate his life at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 9, 2022 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home and the inurnment will be in Anson Memorial Park.
