WADESBORO - Harry Allen Patterson, born on December 2, 1945, in Leesburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, at the age of 79.
Harry was a devoted husband to his wife of 54 years, Vivian Patterson. Together, they built a loving family that includes their children: Clarence Patterson, Kimberly (Doug) Clemons, Edward Patterson, and Margaret Patterson. Harry was also a proud grandfather to Dustin (Savannah) Clemons, Wesley (Bre) Clemons, Cody Clemons, Ariana (Conner) Bustillos-Thomas, Thomas Bustillos, Conner Bustillos, and Emma Bustillos and great-granddaughter Willow McHale.
A proud Army veteran, Harry served his country with honor before embarking on a career as a diesel mechanic with the Clewiston Drainage District. His dedication extended beyond work; he was an active deacon in his church and a respected safety inspector and officer for the Clewiston Mean Mudders 4x4 Club. Harry’s passion for life shone through in his love for camping, grilling, and mud bogging—activities that brought him closer to nature and those he cared about.
Harry’s legacy is one of service, hard work, and unwavering love for his family and community. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
Abiding by Harry’s final wishes no services are planned at this time. The family is planning on holding a reunion this summer to bring relatives together in his memory.
