WADESBORO - Mrs. Helen Williams Edwards, 85, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Lillie Bennett Nursing Center. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Friday, April 5, 2013 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Whitlow and Rev. Doug Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Helen was born July 15, 1927 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late John Dudley Williams and the late Mae Shaver Williams. Surviving are her children, Catherine (Ben) Edwards Williams of Wadesboro and Marshall 'Pro' (Hilda) Edwards, Jr. of York, SC; her granddaughters, Daphne (Keith) McNeely of McConnells, SC, Sally (Eric) Partin of Dallas, GA and Catherine (Matt) Walker of Lilesville; her great-grandchildren, Dustin, Kobi and Kallie McNeely, Scarlett Partin and Leighla Walker and her brother, John (Peggy) Williams of Albemarle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Marshall LeGrand Edwards and by her brothers and sisters, Earl, Frank and Maynard Williams and Fannie Bell Kelly and Mary Louise Goodwin.
