Henrett Williams Phillips

WADESBORO- Mrs. Henrett Williams Phillps, 92, died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral with Rev. Jeff Goudelock officiating. Interment will follow in Jowers Cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday night from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home and other times at her home, 3460 Stanback Ferry Ice Plant Rd., Wadesboro. Henrett was born in Anson County on January 22, 1919 a daughter of the late Henry and Minnie Elizabeth Williams. She was retired from Abbey/Wadesboro Mfg. and was a member of Wadesboro Church of God. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Phillips Allen of Ansonville, her granddaughters, Debbie (Bob) Bowers of Wadesboro, Sandra Ratliffe of Wadesboro and Charlene (JR) Pigg of Monroe; her great-grandchildren, Phillip Bowers, CJ Bowers, Holly Winfree, Ava Pigg and Jake Pigg; her great-great-grandchildren, JR Herold and Clay Bowers. Also surviving is her brother, William Thomas Meachum. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Bennett Phillips. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
