Wadesboro - Mr. Henry Lee Simon of High Point and formerly of Wadesboro, was born May 21, 1955 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Clayton Simon and the late Cleo Huntley Simon. He departed this life on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He was 62.
He graduated from Bowman High School in 1973 and worked for many years at Holly Farms in Monroe, NC.
Henry was loved by many. His family and friends enjoyed time shared with him, as he was always joking around and making people laugh. He was faithful to call and visit with his family and friends.
Henry overcame surgeries and health issues with Gods help. The family is comforted knowing that Henry is still in the loving arms and care of God.
He leaves to cherish his memories; one son, Mt. Terrance Hubbard of Norwood, NC; two brothers, Mr. Bobby (Martha) Simon and Mr.John (Corinna) Simon both of Winston-Salem, NC; five sisters, Mrs. Queen (Ted) Strong of Silver Spring, MD, Mrs. Dorothy (Fisher June) Dean of Oxon Hill, MD, Mrs. Henrietta Gail (Jerry) Ingram of Ft. Washington, MD, Ms. Vernetta Simon and Mrs. Claydes (Claude) Leonard both of Wadesboro, NC; one aunt, Mrs. Sara Huntley of Greensboro, NC and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
From the hearts of the Simon family, they wish to express their sincere thanks to our church family and friends for the prayers, words of comfort, visits and food during their time of bereavement.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at West Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Little, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
