Hughie David Pete Mr. Jordan

Wadesboro- Mr. Hughie David 'Pete' Jordan, 81, died Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center Union in Monroe. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Byrd officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Pete was born in Anson County on January 9, 1934, a son of the late Cleveland Jordan Sr. and Lillie Dean Jordan. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a devoted member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church. Following his retirement from Zimmer Inc. he worked a couple years for Bob Garris at Wadesboro Manufacturing. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Eunice Garris Jordan of the home; his grandchildren, Devin Lee Jordan of Charleston SC, and Lacie King of Hilton Head SC; his brother, Cleveland Jordan Jr., of Wadesboro; his sisters, Louise Paul, Marguerite (Don) Treadaway, Peggy (John) Long, Jean Burris and Josephine Dickens all of Wadesboro. Pete was preceded in death by his son, David Lee Jordan; his brother, Woodrow 'Bud' Jordan; and sisters, Pauline Pegram, Sarah Dickens, Cleva Mae Hooks and Mary Frances Diggs.
