Wadesboro - On May 22, 2015, at the age of 92, Mr. J. Mack Coley, Jr. peacefully entered heaven to be at rest with his Heavenly Father and all his many loved ones who went before him.
Funeral services will be 2:00PM Monday at the Wadesboro Church of God with Rev. Jeff Goudelock officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM.
Mr. Coley was born in Wadesboro on October 10, 1922, a son of the late Della Trexler and Jesse Mack Coley. He served in the US Army during WWII. Later he worked for and retired from Little Cotton Mfg. with 35 years of service. Mack was a longtime member of the Wadesboro Church of God and also a member of Kilwinning Masonic Lodge #64 for over 50 years. He married his beloved wife, Eloise Horne in 1942 and together they celebrated 72 years of marriage this past November.
Survivors include his wife, Eloise Coley of the home; a son, Mike Coley; two daughters, Maxine Wally and Vivian Horne; a daughter-in-law, Mary Coley; a grandson, Lee Wally; 6 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister, Mollie Bowers.
Mack was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Coley; a granddaughter, Kimberly Hampton; and two sons-in-law, Gary Horne and Philip Wally.
Mack's love for his family, friends and his church will be greatly missed.
