PEACHLAND - Mr. Jackie Edward Loveless, 68, died Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe, NC. The family will greet friends Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro with a service to celebrate Jack's life following in the chapel. The Rev. Ronnie Helms, Rev. James Smith and Dr. Jeff LaBorg will officiate. The interment will be at 1:00pm Monday, October 27, 2014 at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery, Peachland. Jack was born June 28, 1046 in Carter County, TN a son of the late David Eugene and Addie Marie Davis Loveless. He was owner and operator of J.E. Logging for nearly 45 years and was a member of East Campus, First Baptist Indian Trail in Marshville. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Agatha Taylor Loveless of the home; his children, Jackie (Heather) Loveless, Jr. of Marion, SC, John Hill and Lisa (Richard) Williams both of Peachland and Lisa Renee' Lyons of Elizabethton, TN; 16 grandchildren and his brothers and sisters, Joe (Betty Jo) Loveless of Greenville, TN, Betty (Ted) White of Johnson City, TN, Barbara Strickland of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Brenda Pike, Judy Hughes and Richard (Debbie) Loveless all of Concord, Patricia Sparks of Bluff City, TN, Linda Carter of Tavares, FL and Jim Loveless of Wadesboro, NC. Also surviving are his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Tommy (Gay) Taylor and Pam (Buddy) Morton both of Norwood and Cecil (Patricia) Taylor of Charlotte and special family members, Gwen Yandle of Harrisburg, and John Blackwelder of Myrtle Beach, SC. Jack will be remembered as a loving and devoted father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. A business man of great integrity, but most of all, he was a true Christian example for others to follow. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
