SUMMERVILLE, SC - Mr. Jacob Scott Webb, 22, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in Clemson, SC. Services will be 3:00pm Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro with Rev. Larry King officiating. Interment will be in Morven Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Jacob was born December 22, 1990 in Westerville, OH the only child of Alan Scott Webb and Sara Lynne Steagall Webb. He was currently a senior engineering major at Clemson University where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. While in high school, he played both football and baseball and his hobbies included fishing, golf and boating. A loving and devoted son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, he is survived by his parents, Scott and Sara Webb of the home; his grandparents, Martha Steagall of Morven and Joan and Jim Griffin of Marshville and his aunts and uncles, Anne and Ron Purcell and Allen and Susie Steagall all of Monroe, Jeanne Price of Charlotte, Andy and Charlene Webb of N. Wilkesboro, Amee Webb of Marshville, Lisa Webb of Clearwater, FL, Bart Griffin of Indian Trail and Betsy Griffin of Minneapolis, MN. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Mickey Steagall and Troy A. Webb. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dorchester County Habitat for Humanity, PO Box 1685, Summerville, SC 29484 or to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Ln Columbia, South Carolina 29210.
