James Robert Bobby Mr. Carpenter, Jr

WADESBORO - Mr. James Robert 'Bobby' Carpenter, Jr. 65, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at his home. There will be a memorial service at 11:00am Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Red Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Clements officiating. A private interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Bobby was born April 23, 1949 in Stanly County, NC a son of the late James Robert and Mary Ruth Lowder Carpenter. He was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Julia Marie and Mel Hadden of Monroe his niece and nephew, Amber Hadden and Robin Hadden both of Monroe and his great-nephew, Preston Hadden of Monroe. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Leavitt Funeral Home, P.O. Box 274, Wadesboro, NC 28170 in an effort to assist with funeral expenses.
