James Robert Mr. Conrad

WADESBORO - Mr. James Robert Conrad, 77, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Ambassador Health and Rehab in Wadesboro. Funeral services will be 4:00pm Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Morning Star Redeemed Church of God in Lilesville with Elder Carl Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. James was born August 21, 1936 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Rev. Mike and Maybell Crawford Conrad. He had worked for many years as an auto mechanic with Faulkner Motor Company and the Ford Dealership. Surviving are his wife, Rosa Caple Conrad of the home; children, Simona (Robert) Conrad of the home; Debra (Isaac) Barr, Donna (Steve) Ziglar and James Conrad, Jr. all of Winston-Salem; brother, Willie B. Conrad of Winston-Salem; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Jerry and Michael Conrad; brothers, Andrew and Billie Conrad and sisters, Ites Robinson, Viola McKenzie, Elizabeth Peguese, Catherine Cash and Martha Dean. James accepted Christ at an early age under his Father's ministry and attended Anson County Schools. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
